There are several smaller (10-40 house) private subdivisions on the south west side of the lake.
Situated in the Santa Lucia mountains, Lake Nacimiento has 18 miles of water for visitors to enjoy, with boat, water ski, and fishing. Day use is available through the Nacimiento Resort where they offer camping, cabins, a seasonal restaurant and boat launching and rentals. Otherwise, access is provided through one of the residential developments, Heritage Ranch, Oak Shores and Running Deer Ranch."
